Welcome to Mother Goose, a four-part podcast that invites you to imagine what it would be like to live in post-war Toronto under the conditions of “the closet.”

The year is 1948 and you have just moved to Toronto. How are you going to discover the city’s gay sites? What bars will you try out? How will you meet your community?

Set in the 1940s, 50s, and 60s, Mother Goose is a new radio-drama podcast that explores Toronto queer history. We follow our fictional character, Garrett, as he moves to the city and discovers what it would have been like to live under the conditions imposed by the closet.
